Album Cover Design & Promotion
Emiko Kawakami is an underground Japanese-American artist who loves to blend her cultural heritage into her music. “New Perspective” is an homage to her Japanese roots with the cover being graced by a woodblock illustration. The blend is a testament to Kawakami’s mix of Japanese music with a modern twist.
Sketch Designs
Thumbnail sketches were made to decide what the final album cover design would look like. I decided to work with #11.
Final Design
Once the final design was finished, I placed it on a mockup to showcase the final product in action.
Promotional Video
To pair with the mockup, I animated a promotional video to complete the project. The promo is completely animated in After Effects and is made for YouTube and other social media advertising.
